In February of 2009, my high school bff's and I hit the beach for the first time in our 12 years of friendship.
I think this became possible when we started earning our own money and our parents started to lift more and more restrictions.
I took these pictures from my albums that are collecting dust in my drive (and dated this feb 2009 even though i started my blog in 2010) because I want to record stuff like this here. Something to look back on when I'm old and gray. :)

To the beach! To the beach!
Puerto Galera is so crowded. It's hard to enjoy it after it became a commercial beach.
Looking for a less-crowded spot.
found one away from people
So we can be crazy and do stuff like these:

Later that evening, the beach is even more crowded.
So we might as well join the people in choosing a bar, spreading a mat and drinking Mindoro Sling by the beach, under the stars.
There's so much party-energy and people were dancing and getting drunk and dancing...absolutely not kind of our dancing.
So we joined and faked our dances on the mat for picture's sake. It's even more fun!
By midnight, most people started going back to their resorts/hotels. We're still too hyped up..not from the Mindoro Sling, but from too much laughing.
We let our tripod take pictures of us while we continued dancing (without music)
The next day, it's BANANA BOAT time!
Super fun!!! We yelled, hooted, yelped and cheered!
The object of course is for the boatman to make sure we're not expecting he'll throw us off. So he did so many turns and then the SUDDEN TURN.
When we went back to the shore, it was so hot so we had ice crumble
The third day we went island-hopping and snorkeling. I remember not enjoying our snorkeling here that much because it was my first time and it was so deep!
Then we went kayaking
And found a lone islet where all we did was play and laugh
There are so many reasons to celebrate life. Here we're celebrating
great friendships, great families, great jobs, great singlehood and most of all GREAT GOD!!!
